G2, our second-generation ngFWA broadband platform, delivers a massive capacity increase and the ability to blend licensed and unlicensed spectrum. Combined with wireless economics, G2 is allowing operators to compete in urban areas and saturated markets. G2 runs on silicon we spent 12 years and $400 million designing from scratch, rather than repurposed 3GPP or Wi-Fi chips. Nextlink Internet lit the first BEAD-funded tower in the country this May, serving 104 locations in southern Bienville Parish, Louisiana at gigabit-class speeds on Tarana G2 over 3.5 GHz CBRS. Nextlink now operates more than 350 live G2 sectors, the largest G2 footprint in the world.
